My son attended kindergarten at Anna L. Klein School, and it was an incredibly difficult and stressful experience for both of us. He has an IEP and was supposed to be placed in a small, supportive class setting, instead, he was put in a regular classroom where the teacher was clearly unprepared and unequipped to meet his needs.I would receive calls 3–4 times a week from the teacher saying she didn’t know how to handle him. It was heartbreaking and exhausting. The school did not provide the proper support for my son, and it felt like they simply didn’t want to invest in the resources necessary for children with special needs.Since moving, I’ve seen a huge improvement in my son. The difference is night and day, and it makes me so sad that he had to go through that early experience. Please always listen to your kids, even when they’re little and can’t express things clearly. They are always telling us when something’s wrong.Anna L. Klein School was the worst experience we’ve had. I would not recommend it to any parent of a child with special needs.
