"Not sure as I am new to the neighborhoood. The churches should be having their festivals, there’s always the New Mexico State fair"
  • Beatrice
"This area of Meadowlake is easily the nicest and the best neighborhood in Meadowlake it has really awesome people that live here who look out for each other and who will always wave good morning to you. And there's still some kids playing around the neighborhood like kids used too. Every single one of the bus stops for each grade level is off Buena Vista and Cereza so you can choose to have your kid be a little bit earlier or a little bit later depending on all the different bus stops you can choose from elementary all the way to high school. The sun bus also runs in this area regularly. The privacy is amazing and the space is even better in this area. Stunning starlet skies at night that you would never be able to see in the city but also close enough to go back and forth to Albuquerque in less than an hour. Fresh air and peace and quiet. I lived here for over 10 years and never once dealt with any crime, vandalism or burglary. Genuinely great area and you can't beat the mortgage prices they are less than most studio apartments anywhere."
  • Nicki T.
"Yard sales make it fun here ! I love going to them. Also we have Christmas light contests that I love to participate in"
  • Jazzyjmonet17
"This is an okay area schools aren’t very great, and there’s not that much to do around here also. Not to mention the crime rate around here is rising and there have been a couple break ins around the area too. "
  • jess
"They would like all the cats and they fact they can hide anywhere and no one could see them.... they would also love all of the couches sitting outside our trash bins cuz they make amazing homes for dogs cats actually any species of animals.."
  • Imdartist
"It’s 2 miles to the nearest store. And 7 to town. A car is a must. Unless you want to run a marathon. It would be good exercise. And a great view of the mountains. "
  • LilaC
"I've lived in Los Lunas for close to 40 years and plan to remain in this area for the rest of my life. I like the small town feel (even though it's grown a lot) and the friendly people. It's a good place to live!"
  • anon
"there are a lot of loose dogs despite every yard being fenced. there are places where you can walk with your dogs off leash. many people dump dogs in the area and east of here on the mesa"
  • anon
"there are no social events that make the neighborhood special. people generally mind their own business. every property is fenced, most people have large dogs, or livestock, or both. my neighborhood has a lot of property crime and drugs"
  • Angela G
"the school ratings are not the best because they do not have a budget for expensive equipment but the teachers and staff are very involved and care about each student. "
  • Sjcrash28
"Los Lunas isn’t a good place to raise a family or visit it’s over run with drug addicts and thief’s. "
  • Angela G.
"sucks to drive to and some times. but it's great to be away from the city at night with family and friends"
  • Eodjones

  • Summer L.
"My neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. There are a lot of families and children of all ages. Most times are well cared for and the neighbors are friendly."
  • Laguera64
"most of the elementary schools are ok but the schools get worse the further up you go it's easy to commute to Albuquerque and only 20 minutes to the airport"
  • Art O.
"if you rent, it's very important to get renter's insurance. Burglars usually target a home on the 1st month when nothing has been unpacked. Don't skip on renter's insurance. "
