"Most of Lumberton is very middle class. It doesn’t feel very “neighborly” but it also doesn’t feel dangerous by any means. Lots of kids at the park but also some litter, loitering, etc. It’s not very pretty here but there seems to be some effort to improve that. "
  • Nnekatull
"Unfortunately, not really. The neighboring towns are typically the ones that organize most of the community events, such as festivals, farmers' markets, and parades. They offer a variety of activities that bring residents together, while our town tends to have fewer gatherings throughout the year."
  • Emckenna28
"Lumberton offers lots of options for highway access and main roads. public transportation is also readily available. Personally, my commute is very short. When I lived a bit further away I found that the main roads were quite congested at 5:00 and I would wait at many traffic lights. "
  • Emckenna28
"People walk their dogs often. It seems like many neighbors have dogs. The park has dog waste bags available and special trash cans. When someone else is walking their dog they are courteous of you and your dog. "
  • Charlieh
"Is ok. Highway get you places within like 1 hour you can be in Philly or New York or the shore. For work lots of place to drive to. You must have a car to live here nothing real close by. Lots of retail and store nearby. Driving hear is less connected then the cities. "
  • Charlieh
"Quite spread out good for walks and not really far from city life. Water is expensive. Everyone is nice "
  • Chepapu28
"Very good school system, even high school wich is regional school. And green areas al well maintained"
  • Kristina M.
"This is a very welcoming community for dog owners. You see people bringing their dogs out to play with other dogs all the time. Very friendly dogs and dog owners."
  • Marilyn C.
"Very quiet and peaceful!!! Stores are easily accessible! Police very visible and alert. Very friendly!!"
  • Ssob2000
"good area to raise a family. car is necessary to get around. many stores close by and plenty of restaurants. taxes a little high due to regional school tax."
  • Veronica T.
"easy to get to transportation. local stores and fast food places. A lot of stores close early. Great school for children."
  • Nnekatull
"I’ve lived here for 10 years and believe it’s pretty safe with a good school district. Not super neighborly but no real expectations! "
  • Minita74
"I've lived in Lumberton for more then 15 years. Stores are close by, school district is great. The police knows there residents very friendly."
  • Shavonne C.
"My commute is moderate. It’s takes 35-45 minutes to get to Trenton, NJ. There are many different routes to north jersey which makes the commute easier."
  • Ssob2000
"responsible dog owners are a welcome site. many people walk their pets on leashes. have not encountered any pet issues in this area. area is very safe for walking with or without pets. "
  • Shavonne C.
"I live near multiple major highways which makes my 45min commute, shopping, & finding fun activities very easy."
  • Tweaver322
"The majority of people are mindful of their pets and respectful. But, there is a neighbor that knowingly lets their dogs roam the neighborhood and all three of them ended up attacking my mother and her dog while they were on a walk, leaving them with an enormous amount of pain and medical bills. "
  • Andy C.
"Great school system and easy access to shows, sporting events in and around the Philadelphia and Atlantic City areas."
  • Shurobinson
