4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a Special needs student at the school that Moved over from Brockton and My experience was quite poor here. The teachers is treated me like I had an issue And barely helped with work, they also Tried to push the blame on me when I was trying to report My support teacher for Making me cry very often, Making me feel distressed, Dread Coming to school and being the reason why I have lots of absences, and that Experience eventually Caused me to be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and Given Therapy. The principal barely did anything on the situation; All she did was put on the teachers records and Got someone to “tell” the teacher To be nice to me like she was a CHILD! A grown Woman Shouldn’t have to be told to be Gentle to a student. This School is quite notorious For treating children Quite strictly, Even to the point that I heard stories about kids there focusing on a spiderweb during recess and Getting yelled at for using “too many napkins” During lunch when they were being served soup in the Second grade (Were kids are commonly known to be very messy around that age). As a past student talking to parents On this website, I don’t recommend sending your kids here With an experience like mine and the School being known for that.Other Review1y ago3 Reviews - Gloucester High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe students run the school. There is no discipline, no follow through or consequences. Teachers are not supported and are constantly dis-empowered. They are reprimanded for having high expectations and challenging students, especially in specialists classes and have been told to dumb down lessons. Just last year students were lighting fire in the hallways and carrying weapons to school. The school has dropped to a level 3, on its way to level 4 I'm sure. The "STEAM" element is a joke and just there to get funding. In practice, there is no collaboration between teachers, only "practices" put in place "just in case" evidence is asked for by the state for STEAM practices. If a student is at risk, they will do anything they can to ignore and or push that child's problems under the rug. One guidance counselor is completely useless, the other two try but their hands are tied because the administration would rather ignore student issues. The administration is a complete joke.Other Review10y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 7 Alpine Ct #2.

"We have fiesta every summer, a carnival basically and a parade for the fellow Italians to rejoice, and those not Italian. We have concerts at the Fitz Hugh Lane house Thursday nights in the summer, and a lot of live entertainment. Beautiful seaside spot for good food, shops, historical landmarks, parks, beaches, etc. Much love for this town and the beauty behind it. "
