Alvin High School is not safe. It values the reputation of it employees over the safety, health, and well being of its students, especially if they are female. Please reconsider sending your children to this school. They will lie, shame, and blame you if something happens to your child on their campus. As a former student I can tell you first hand that this is NOT a place you want to send your children.

The school goes above and beyond for struggling students, providing multiple interventions in general education in subject areas they are having difficulty with. They offer incentives to the students to participate in imagine learning and the teachers are great at communicating and being supportive.

When I was in harby junior high the young kids would swear and say inappropriate words and slow down the class and the teachers would do as little as possible to punish them and when I accidentally said a barely a swear word and I was punished more than the other kids who said a lot more bad things and were a lot more disruptive. All the kids in harby were bad kids they were rude, disruptive and when a fight broke out they all went crazy and supported the fight happening between students and I felt like the teachers didn't care enough to do there job as peacekeepers. There are many other instances of kids being problematic and teachers not putting there all. I would suggest not having your kids go to harby junior high.
