I really don’t like writing reviews. But I’m so sick and tired of this school. I have tried over the last 4 years of my daughter’s attendance here to do things professionally. They are horrible!!!! My daughter had a life threat situation. The schools knows until this day they’ve not reached out to me about the situation. I’ve called the school to talk to dean. My ex husband and myself have not got a call from the dean. We had and appointment and he refused to talk to us. This is the reason why theirs so much bullying, self suicide, shooting in schools. So my ignorance from staff.

All three of my children attended Bimat elementary. The teachers developed long standing relationships with my children and they were deeply cared for during the years they attended school there. My children had wonderful experiences and were more than prepared for advanced classes in junior high and AP courses in high school. I was reading the comments here and realized that as a parent who was happy, it never occurred to me to leave a rating or comment. I am coming back to leave my thoughts. Parents who are happy, don't comment. I speak for those thousands who left happy without comment. Bimat is wonderful! The teachers are amazing and when we see them in the community, they still remember us. That doesn't happen by accident. They genuinely care for their students and families. Parents that have an axe to grind or who didn't get their way are motivated to tear down a great school for their own self serving reasons. For the record, in public school, you can't "shop" for a school. You attend the school assigned to the area you reside in. Comments stating they decided to go to a different school are likely from parents who were using a false address to gain access to a great school and community. Consider the source on those comments. Parents remarking on bullying need to wise up. American children lack resilience. If your child is called a name, that's rude but it's not bullying. Teach your children that other people's behavior, while inappropriate doesn't define them. Teach them respect by modeling it. It's the parents job to teach their children to behave, not the school's job. Parents need to do better. Perhaps we need a report card for the parenting, or lack of it that runs rampant in our community?Bimat...we see you. We love you. From the principal, to the cafeteria staff, to the yard aides that live in my neighborhood, to the teachers who came to my house during the pandemic to say hello. I, as a student of norris middle, have had an amazing experience at norris, there’s many hands on projects between classes, and the teachers here actually make an effort to make lessons enjoyable, I couldn’t have had a better experience in middle school, I haven’t had this much fun in years, now that schools ended I already feel the urge to return. Making friends their seems difficult at first but couldn’t be easier, i myself being someone who a lot of people know, but not necessarily popular found making new friends easy, as well as fitting into a clique of people. As every middle school should, they Don’t baby you through everything they put in the maximum effort into teaching students responsibility. In conclusion, for any parent wondering if they should enroll their child in this school, i recommend, from the variety of people, activities, classes, and overall acceptance this school is a 10/10.
