"I’ve lived in this house since 2014 when I purchased it. I love the neighborhood and having easy access to Carthage College and the Kenosha Pops Concerts. It’s wonderful being within walking distance of La Fogata and Waterfront Warehouse. It’s been sad seeing the schools close around us. My son walked to Washington Middle School and took the bus to Bradford High School. We have great access to the lakefront and are in biking distance to the harbor markets in the summer. This was my first house purchase but I’m not in a hurry to leave! "

"I live near downtown. It’s about a 10 minute walk. I also live two minutes from my job so I do not have to commute far. My children also catch public transportation to school each morning so I can say the transportation runs great but it doesn’t run on Sundays. I also stay around the corner from the beach, the only thing is there is no close grocery stores so you will have to commute a little further to get to the grocery stores, but I always kept a car so I’m not sure how the buses run out here but the area I stay in I can kinda commute by walking to get the things that I need and for any entertainment."

"All the neighborhood children play together nicely. We’re within walking distance to Lake Michigan. Everyone tries to keep their homes looking presentable. We have a lot of stores nearby, and an excellent bus system for those that don’t have cars."

"Not bad to live in a good neighborhood. The school is right a couple blocks away, and there are a few good parks nearby. Very safe area, and good for kids. Not loud not dangerous not bad surroundings. good businesses around."

"Great area!! Lived there for 5 years. Used to go to Simmons island beach in the summer which is a 5 minute walk. Also, walking to downtown for dinner, entertainment, and the bike paths along the lake."

"There are quite a few dogs in this area, and every dog owner, EXCEPT ONE, has picked up after their dog! There is a dog park nearby, and a lot of great places to walk your dog here on the lakefront. "

"It takes very little time to get to a major road. From their you can go any direction. Not to Far East since we are so close to the lake.😊"

"I love my neighborhood and it's a great area to raise your kids and the neighbors are friendly. Also there is a store and dairy queen and great restaurants. I've lived here for 3 years and the community is clean and I feel totally safe for my children to go outside to the parks and to the store. I love living here and I will be here for a long time to come. I recommend people to stay on this side if town it's really peaceful 😌"

"Community garage sale in May. Occasional outdoor movie night at the local grade school. Holidays are celebrated. Halloween is especially popular. "
