My daughter, who was in 1st grade, had a teacher who consistently treated her poorly and made her feel disliked. There were multiple incidents that raised red flags, but at the time, I second-guessed myself and chose not to speak up.My son, who was in Pre-K, also had a rough experience. Just two weeks into the school year, he was abruptly moved from one teacher to another, and we saw a noticeable change in his behavior and attitude after the switch.Now that we've moved to a new school for 2024–2025 and have seen how supportive and nurturing a school environment should be, I realize I wasn’t wrong in my concerns about Northampton. I wish I had trusted my instincts and been more vocal back then.This experience taught me to be much more observant and involved in my children's school life. Our kids spend so much time in these environments, and no child should feel unwelcome or mistreated by their teacher.We’re now at a school where the staff truly cares, and my kids are genuinely happy, a night-and-day difference.
