Description

LIGHTHOUSE PARK. First time to market in almost 50 years, this island home could tell some tales. Nestled under a welcome shade tree canopy with breezes wafting over from Salt Run, the lighthouse will illuminate your evening walks and this historic neighborhood is a favorite one. Built in 1910, there have been some changes over the century and the main house offers 1,551SF with a wide family room spanning the front of the house. A handy half bath is easily accessed by all the guests you'll be having over. The living and dining rooms run down the middle of the house so the flow is open and the rooms look out the wall of the windows at the deck. En-suite master is on the south side while the two other bedrooms are on the north and share a full bath. Originally a "porch kitchen," which was typical of the era, the current one is sunny, generous and ready to become what you want it to be. Out the dining room door is a huge 716SF deck built around two windswept oaks which provide graceful trunks and a bit of shade. Elevated over the lane in back, the breezes from Salt Run will keep you cool and this is an excellent place for parties of all sizes. The in-law/guest suite is attached to the main house and can be accessed through a private entrance off the deck or from the third bedroom in the main house. A simple but comfortable space, it measures 638SF and has both a kitchen and a living room in addition to the sleeping quarters. Great for multi-generational living, the inevitable long line of guests or you can make it part of the house. Take the outside stairs down to the driveway on the Holly Lane side and you'll find the former garage has been turned into a 448SF workshop and utility room. There's unconditioned storage accessed from the workshop and an additional storage area under the suite. A parking pad at the back has room for three or four cars (depending on the size) and there's parking for two cars out front. Lighthouse Park is a unique and special neighborhood with a rich variety of architectural style all under the beacon of the lighthouse. People move here and they stay and stay. Public tennis courts are just down the street as is the public boat ramp and the yacht club. Anastasia State Park is a bike ride away and you can get to the Amphitheatre for concerts and the Saturday Farmer's Market in a snap. This house has been loved by the same family and their circle of friends for a long time. Now it's your turn to make it your own.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
