5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel my child is sometimes singled out....I hear more negatives tham positives. Im out of the loop with info on services available through the Wetherbee. I hear there's many free programs available but I have no knowledge of anything. I can't afford much and I have absolutely no transportation. My resources are extremely limited. I'd love nothing more than for my child to feel included in something more than just the normal school day.Parent Review9y ago3 Reviews - Robert Frost Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two very different children attending Frost. One is a high-performing honors/GATE student involved in multiple extracurriculars. The other has a specialized education plan/accommodations and is in the standard common core classes. First, I love the principal here! He is so fun, patient, and positive with the students. He knows their names and makes an effort to say hello. He shows up to the performances, awards, and ceremonies and doesn't lose his energy even after standing there shaking hands and taking photos for HOURS. There was a lockdown this year which was very unusual for the school and the parents were obviously distressed. He held a Zoom meeting and answered all questions- even the aggressive ones- with nothing but patience. I guess I thought he was a softie given his temperament with the kids, but this is when I saw how effective and knowledgable he is. I felt reassured that my kids are in good hands. The music program is incredible. Ms. Curtis and Mr. Rodriguez are next-level committed and dedicated. I don't know when they sleep. They are also a wonderful combination of kind but firm. They get the kids motivated, in order, and learning. It's amazing to watch. Both of my students take music classes. They have not only become better within their personal abilities, they've learned to work as a team, cooperation skills, and they've learned a lot about dedication and hard work. It has helped them immensely as students and people.I thought my child in honors classes would have most of the "great" teachers but this has absolutely not been the case. With the exception of one who was just ok, they've all been exemplary. I read another review about Ms. Melville, but this was not our experience with her. Ms. Melville is hilarious! She manages students and the classroom with humor and levity, which may be different for some parents/students. My child had her for honors health and science and became even more self-driven than usual. She expects this of the kids, and again, this can be an adjustment. I'm a little much when it comes to worrying about my student with special needs, but the teachers, counselors, and social worker have all stayed in touch with me as often as I've needed (a lot). There are many processes and procedures for accommodations planning, and I don't understand most of them, but they've been very good about responding and explaining. I do plan to ask for an update to the plan and will see how that goes. Thank you, Frost!Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Lawrence High School

"Very easy drive to where I work. Carpooled a few times too with very nice people but people seem to drive way under the speed limit which can slow things down, speed limits posted are very inconsistent"

"I’ve lived in Andover for over 20 years. It’s family friendly, safe, and full of historical charm. The best location in my opinion is downtown area, near Phillips Academy."

"I see a lot of people walking dogs on trails and in the neighborhood but I have not seen any dog parks or areas for dogs to be off of a leash. "

"And over has a large percentage of the population that is well educated well employed and financially responsible. My neighborhood, in particular, is a cul-de-sac, off of a cul-de-sac, off of a cul-de-sac, neighboring Harold Parker forest. People will come and park at the edge of our neighborhood to walk their dogs. Everyone is courteous that there are children and drive slowly. Wide open streets with almost no traffic."

"Living off 28 isn’t the ideal location in the city. But the location offers the best bang for your buck. Neighbors aren’t as friendly when you’re a minority. Overall, fair city with great schools that is not walkable. "
