This school is not worth your time, just look at the location it speaks for itself. The TAKS scores have been low at this school for a while so don't believe the hype, and the teachers academics are based around nothing but the TAKS. I know children that have come out of this school and do not know the basics in order to succeed in middle school. There has been so many complaints at HISD admin building regarding this school. My child was in boy scout there and complained how the leader was not watching the troop when another little boy was hurt. I would recommend you try another school this school is known to have a bad reputation. I wish I would had taken heed when I was informed by another parent about this school, I would have never sent them there. I moved them to another school in another district where they are getting the education they need because they were not getting it there.

IThe principal is always walking the halls and knows the students by name. The campus welcomes parent support, and they have an active alumni association. The principal, AP's, and other staff members always listen to my concerns. I had an issue with a teacher not putting in my son's grades on time and the AP listened to my concern. We met and the issue was resolved. I also find out that the teacher had a personal tragedy which is why he was late putting in my son's grades. I always feel like my voice is heard at this school. It's not too many students on that campus and I never felt like my son was just one of the numbers. I am an active parent and they all know me by name over there. I would recommend you check it out for yourself.

Great. Key gets a bad rep from what is told by the media. The school is nothing like the "outside" perceives it to be.
