Irvington High School has built a reputation that reflects dysfunction more than discipline. Instead of feeling like a place of opportunity, the school often feels like a controlled facility where students are watched more than they are supported. The heavy security presence and strict policies create an environment that feels more like a prison than a school, sending the message that students are problems to manage rather than minds to develop. The food served is consistently low quality and unappetizing, showing little concern for student health or morale. Academically, the system lacks structure and real investment in student success, with many students feeling unchallenged, unheard, and unprepared. What stands out most is the imbalance in priorities — athletics receive attention, recognition, and energy, while academic struggles are brushed aside. A school should be focused on educating all students, not just celebrating its athletes while the rest are left to navigate a failing system. Until leadership shifts its priorities toward genuine academic reform and student support, Irvington High School will continue to fall short of the standards it claims to uphold.

My daughter has been attending Groove at elementary since kindergarten, and she is on her way to the third grade. I enjoy how the teachers and staff are dedicated to the students well being and most of all academic.. My only problem would be that they don't send notices out in a timely fashion.. It's usually the day before if not the day of.

I am a student at this school. Some students are bad but they punish all the student. and instead of letting is have fun in return for doing good work.

my school is perfect,and the teachers teach the students a lot of things in 1 school day
