I have a unique view of this school since I have attended the school as a student and I now have kids attending. I must say that I feel this district prepared me well for college. Is it perfect? No, but it's still a great school (especially compared to the ones in the area). As for parents complaining about PSSA scores, look at the other schools around and will find Montrose has the highest scores. Instead of complaining about the school, use your effort to complain to the state government about the test! It limits focus on teaching content and forces teachers to teach to the test. To the parent that said focus on technology, I honestly laughed out loud. this school has a smart board or symposium in every room! Not to mention the graphic design lab and the multiple computer labs! I've been to multiple other schools that only have chalkboards, not to mention that other schools in PA are cutting school lunches! Just think before you blindly complain. Bottom line is that it's a great school for the area. Some good some bad, but still above average. I would recommend this school because it is a friendly community and has a solid teaching staff.

On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the best, I'd give them a zero.
