5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy wife and I have two children enrolled at Jefferson in the KDLI (Korean Dual Language Immersion) program, grades 1st and 3rd. We find that the support from the entire staff go above and beyond to help both the children and parents succeed. The PTA is constantly volunteering their time to create fun social events such as the end of the year carnival, a fundraising Turkey Jog-athon, and winter movie night just to name a few! Every morning during drop off there are parent volunteers helping direct and control. The front office staff do an amazing job of keeping the kids, parents, admin and teachers stay connected. The staff has been well trained to keep our kids safe during an emergency. A few years ago there a threat close by the school and staff got the children to safety. During the lockdown the staff communicated with parent via an app that parents have exclusive access to. The leadership of the school is led by Ms Dougherty and her amazing team. Principal Dougherty is an open individual that is alway willing to listen to the concerns that may improve the quality of the school. On selective mornings the school provides coffee chats to help keep parents and staff to stay informed about current topics such as technology, bullying, goals and current progress towards the goals of the school. There are combined groups of admin, teachers and parent volunteers to help the success of the school such as PLI (Parent Leadership Institute), SSC (School Site Counsel), and PTA. We highly recommend this school!Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - Anaheim High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son, who has an Individualized Education Program (IEP), deserves a safe and supportive school environment. Unfortunately, his time at this school has been the opposite. Instead of receiving the protection, guidance, and consistency he needed, he experienced ongoing bullying while the school failed to take meaningful action. As a parent, it has been heartbreaking to watch my child struggle not because of his abilities, but because the very people who were supposed to help him ignored his needs. From the beginning, I did everything I could to communicate with the school. I reached out to the woman assigned to support my son through his IEP. She told me she would talk to him about the bullying and help him feel safe. She even promised that she would take him out every day to check on him—as long as he was doing well in his classes. I trusted her. My son trusted her. But that promise was never kept.Instead of receiving daily check-ins or support, my son was left alone to deal with bullying that continued to get worse. Each day, he came home more stressed, more anxious, and more afraid to return to school. The person who was supposed to help him barely followed through on her word, and the school did not intervene to stop the bullying. There were no real changes, no consistent follow-ups, and no plan to protect him.For a child with an IEP, structure, trust, and support are critical. When the school breaks that trust, it affects the student emotionally, academically, and socially. In my son’s case, the school’s lack of action made the situation worse. The bullying continued because no one stepped in to prevent it. Instead of feeling safe, he felt abandoned and unheard. No child should ever feel that way.Overall, this school has been the worst experience for my son. Not only did they fail to support his IEP needs, but they also allowed bullying to continue while offering empty promises. My son deserved better. Every child deserves a school that listens, protects, and supports them. Sadly, this school did not meet even the most basic expectations, and my son paid the price for their lack of responsibility.Parent Review6mo ago7 Reviews - Sycamore Junior High School

"My husband suggested it to me and I agreed, it’s me. I agreed to check it out and I didn’t think I’d like it, but for some ungodly reason, I did, I mean like it. So we begin our search for the perfect home for us and our our children."

"Some families petition around the block to close the street on the 4th of July, it turns into a block party of sorts with people barbecuing in the street. Since it’s a family neighborhood it’s really lively on holidays and closing the street makes it much safer for everyone as well! There’s lots of great yard sales, car shows, and different markets/ carnivals that happen at parks and plazas within just a couple blocks. I LOVVVEE this neighborhood "

"It’s dangerous and super sketch . No parking EVER ! Your car could be stollen from your driveway so don’t even pull in leave it running while you go inside to grab something . Homeless population digs through trash so shred everything . Neighbors are very loud and disrespectful across the board . It’s not unusual to have noise from a party well until 1/2 am . Cars typically double park or park in a fashion where you can not exit your own driveway. "
