My son loves the school, the teachers and the kids. He's pulling all A's with some advanced courses included. ROTC is great too!

This school caters to the violent and unmotivated students. Gangs are protected by administrators while students are allowed to be bullied and threatened. Incentives only seem to go to the worst behaved and discourage hardworking kids from trying or speaking up for themselves.

As a former student, now in high school, I have a lot to say. The staff/teachers are rude and ignorant 95% of the time. Bullying and discrimination is almost always never addressed or solved, no matter how many times you bring it up to staff. I was bullied a lot of the time during my 7 years of attending this school, and its safe to say that the bullying never really stopped. My mom would make complaints very often, they would do the bare minimum to "stop" the bullying, and drop the situation like nothing ever happened. The school is strict on most rules, like dress code and the areas that students were able to access such as the office, gym etc. You quite literally needed a pass for everything and anything. They would lock the bathrooms most mornings and sometimes people had to go to the elementary side just to access the bathrooms, which in my opinion, is ridiculous. Education and learning wise, it was just as bad. A lot of the teachers would assign homework, as if there already wasn't enough with the I-Ready program that students have to do. There was no freedom in this school whatsoever. Words cannot explain how much I dislike this school. I 100% do NOT recommend this school especially for students in middle school, based off of my own personal experiences, and alot of other former students seem to have the same opinion and feelings about wrightson.
