"We have lived here for 34 years. We raised our son here. He had an active school life, a three sport athlete, Eagle Scout, church involvement. We enjoyed skiing, swimming in the many lakes, hiking, motor boating, sailing, canoeing & kayaking and walking all over town. We enjoyed the small town atmosphere, the friendly neighbors, the summer farmers markets, the proximity to the Lake Placid Olympic village, the summer concerts on the green in the center of town. "

"I lived and worked in Saranac Lake for 37 years. It is a wonderful and safe place to raise a family and the school district is excellent. The mountains and lakes add to the scenic beauty as well as providing wonderful outdoor sport opportunities. Fondest memories are canoeing with my children and cross country skiing with my son while pulling my toddler daughter behind me in a sled. My kids' fondest memories were skating on our pond, hiking up mountains and living in the "woods". "
