  • Christopher Casazza
"Itโ€™s a cute little downtown and there are wonderful examples of intact 19th century architecture and nice local businesses and restaurants. It probably just needs to continue to clean up and get some more population. Itโ€™s just a little empty when schools are not in session."
  • Debyrae
"Out side music Watching people walk around Have any yard? I feel safe and quiet in. Walkabouts."
  • Trulia User
"Surrounded by trees and brownstones itโ€™s absolutely beautiful ,You get a sense of security along w/ some great architecture views , "
  • Lindsay D.
"Not a lot of green space to walk your dog and too often I find that not enough dogs have been picked up after relieving themselves."
  • Sketchum
"Easy access to local buses and a short drive to Albany. Walking distance to local restaurants and nightlife. "
  • Afchick9287
"Watch children at all times...even though I generally feel safe during the day, I never go out at night by myself"
  • Nikki G.
"They are so many fun places and things to do downtown. I enjoy rocking by the river, the farmers markets and library. plus there's a million different restaurants. I love the hole in the business whether it's food or nick knacks.. Your ten minutes away from everything(if you drive) and on of the major buses come through here. plus this taxi company. As far as the school district I didn't like the public school in the area just by the first impression the faculty left and reviews. The fire department, police department and hospital are close by as well. "
  • Jane F.
"Itโ€™s a great vibe between college kids, artsy folks and small businesses . Galleries, unique restaurants and cafes and the best Farmers market in the area! "
  • Mackenzie G.
"Unless you work a 9-5 job Monday through Friday, parking will be a nightmare. A lot of streets are metered (pay the meter or pay for the ticket youโ€™ll get later), and those that arenโ€™t are still only 2-hour max parking - not at all ideal if youโ€™ll be home during the week."
  • Bianca M.
"Theyโ€™re are big parks to take your dog to run around safely. I would not advice letting your dog off a leash in certain areas. "
  • Richard M.
"Downtown does have its own issues with crime. I would trust a well adjusted teen or adult to navigate the streets alone but a grade school child should be accompanied and spoken to about the potential dangers. "
  • Teresa M.
"Lots of walk ups make dog ownership in this neighborhood a bit of a hassle. And there are not many places where grass is cultivated."
  • Pcichetti
"good restaurants and a lot of events reach year. lots of different people co mingle. beautiful buildings"
  • Tia K.
"I live here and I absolutely love it , its right in the center of everything city living with style...."
