"I love the area as far as closeness to everything goes. Conover is a great town, too. The homes in the area are nice as well. However, I’m a bit upset that we were not aware of how truly bad the noise was in the area. The main road hosts always active traffic (so, loud exhausts, emergency sirens, cars blasting loud music at all hours of the day and night), a train that goes by quite a few times each day/night, that blares its very loud horn for miles. This wakes us up multiple times throughout the night. Also, there is a neighbor who leaves their dog out just about all day long and they do nothing about its constant barking. Needless to say this is not an area to live in if you want peace/relaxation. If you can tolerate constant noise, you’ll love it (not saying that in a sarcastic way- genuinely, if you can work around this, that’s the only downfall)."

"I live in the area, have lived here almost 2 years now. It's a very clean, quiet, and safe neighborhood. "
  • Kathy M.
"For the most part people take care of their animals. There are very few strays and they walk their animals often."
  • Sethmgriffin
"It’s both safe and nearby to local shopping, I-40, and 16S that now takes approximately 35 mins. to get to Charlotte. "
  • Lizz D.
"I’ve lived in Conover for five years. I like the charm of the city. Sidewalks to anywhere in town, gentrification of center town with friendly neighbors both younger and older. "
  • elizabeth
"Folks are friendly, live Conover its in the middle of everything! Perfect. ..... "
  • Xodus3318
"This area is a wonderful place to live and to have all the facilities you need close. It is so close to I40 making it accessible to Charlotte, Winston Salem, Asheville and only 4 hours from the beach. The views are breathtaking and the people are friendly."
  • loveanurse1968
"This is a very quiet, friendly and safe neighborhood. It is very conveniently located to Hwy 70, Springs Rd, I-40 and Hwy 16 which is now completed to Charlotte. This neighborhood is 10-15 minutes from the mall, great restaurants and parks. It is in the Newton Conover School district, which ranks high in test scores and is well known for its sports programs.
