Very racist school, we hated it no inclusive clubs very rude teachers and staff

I agree with the other poster that mentioned that PPS is the limiting factor. The district itself is pretty terrible and it always felt like SW Portland schools were forgotten in district politics and program offerings. We were at this school for two years. In that time experienced two different principals and also a lot of disorganization at the classroom level particularly with respect to technology use. There was also a problematic teacher that was placed at this school in one of the upper grades that was difficult to remove even after causing distress amongst students in their classroom. Just overall not a great experience. Facilities are also dated. The PTA was super active and inclusive. They were probably they best thing going at this school.

The school profile is pretty out of date. We do not have honors courses, and we do not offer German, Italian, or Mandarin. Nonetheless, there is still a fairly wide variety of classes offered. As for teachers, there's a mix of very good teachers and very bad ones. Some teachers have multiple complaints filed against them, while others are incredible. The building is literally falling apart, but it's supposed to be remodeled soon. Some students have had ceiling tiles fall on them, although I'm told it's not as bad as it sounds. There are definitely some better high schools, and probably some worse ones.
