Horrendous experience with this school. Fighting took place and nothing done. One of the girls made it on the sports teams even though “behavior is taken into consideration”. Reported multiple issues only to be told “that just how it is here, and that’s how it is in the entire district”. Will likely move due to the experiences with this school.

Groves Elementary is awful. My child's teacher is very polite and very well-educated, but it seems her hands are tied as she does not have the support she needs from Groves leadership. The Principal is so concerned with how the school rates overall that she refuses to repair issues at the core. She would rather report the symptoms of an issue to the parent and not validate the parent's concern and willingness to address the issue once its reported. Aside from the teacher, I dread having to interface with any of the staff at this institution. They are rude, belittling, judgemental, unapologetic and intimidating. My child is bullied here and the staff ignores it. The staff bullies me, too. It makes me sick.

No student left behind? But students are left behind. Just passing them on without regard for their future is leaving them behind. These kids are not proficiently prepped for college or the workforce. If you are lower income, any racial group other than white, or have a child with disabilities your child is being left behind. They will not prioritize your child or their future at PNGHS.

Can not say enough good things about Van Buren Elementary!! My son attended there K and 1st grade and absolutely had the best teachers both years. Very caring and work so well with parents in making sure their child(ren) get the best education possible. The entire staff at this school is like a large family all working together to better the children that go there. Parent involvement is very high due to such welcoming teachers!
