I like that the school is on a model that allows for extended reading/language arts time in the lower (1st and 2nd) grades, while offering really great specialty offerings (art, music, computers, PE, social studies and science) in 3rd-4th. The specialty teachers are top notch instructors. My kids got a great literacy foundation, then have gotten solid exposure to all of the specialties. And I can't say enough about the core teachers. The kids can participate in after school art, math lab, service club, and knowledge bowl among other things. There are always lots of parents in the school to help, and the kids seem to get along well. I only occasionally hear of incidents of bullying. I love this school.Parent Review13y ago

"American Fork is a small community that is growing up. People are friendly, helpful, and geniune. I've been here 5 years and will stay for another 2. Doug Smith Autoplex is the best car dealership to purchase a new or used vehicle."

"It’s close to all the schools. It’s close to the LDS temple. It’s in a quiet place. Has a nice view of Utah lake. Very close to the Canyon. Lots of parks close by. Very involved community. And very close to all the shopping needs you need. "

"Live in this area. Very nice, quiet, neighbors are wonderful. More bus stops would be wonderful as well as an actual mall rather than scattered stores. Plenty of restaurants though. Very pet friendly but we do have a few irresponsible owners that let their dogs run rampant so I don't ever have outside cats here just in case. Everyone I've met here has been incredibly friendly and neighbors stepped in to help my family unpack and move in from day one. They even helped us put the grass in our lawn! I believe we ended up having at least 10 people stop what they were doing and get down and dirty to help out! Luckily we are pretty close to Lehi so what little things we don't have here, are easily attained. My only real complaint is a lack of a mall to do serious clothing etc shopping in."
