While attending Hemingford Highschool I would like to say my overall experience was that of a typical high school experience it was decent, but the academics were very much lacking. Visiting and attending this school you can see that they are lacking. There are many students who lack discipline and there are teachers who simply do not teach. The purpose of a school is to engage students and want them to succeed you want your students to want to be at school to want to learn. Teachers are to set examples and a lot of them do not. However, there are the teachers who do care about their job and want to see their student succeed but not as many as you would hope for and that is something that is sad. The administration really needs to be put in check for this. The administration at this school is no better for letting their teachers be lazy. I apologize for being so biased but it's terrible. I understand that there is only so much that can be done, and a lot of students simply do not care or want to be at school there will always be those students who are like that anywhere you go. But maybe if something changed within the education system students would care students would appreciate things better, they would want to learn. I have done much research into this, and I have studied how everyone interacts within the school, I have heard many negative comments coming from former staff members. I believe something needs to be done because this school has so much potential to be a great school.
