7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former student and I regularly got in trouble for being disabled, and communicating with my peers. In a heatwave they turned off the ac and the water then started confiscating water bottles and made us by water from the school cafeteria when thirsty. I was regularly in trouble for asking questions about assignments when they were confusing and because of this school I am currently 3 years behind on math because my sped teacher was too busy on her computer buying things to teach the math class that she specifically chose to teach. I also had 2 seizures and denied proper medical aid by a teacher who was a trained professional.Other Review3mo ago4 Reviews - Victoria Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat experience with strong academics, thoughtful leadership, and a community that truly supports kids. I have two students currently in 2nd grade and kindergarten at VES - both have attended this school since preschool (age 3). We've had a very positive experience at Victoria Elementary. The school is high performing but what stands out to me is how they get there - it is intentional, consistent, and well-led, not just driven by test scores. Academically, expectations are clear and appropriate. There’s a good balance of pushing students while still supporting them, and you can tell there are systems in place to make sure kids are progressing. It doesn’t feel chaotic or reactive, it feels structured in a way that works. The teachers have been a highlight for us. They’re engaged, communicative, and genuinely invested in the kids. We’ve always felt like our child is known as an individual, not just another student in the classroom. That goes a long way.Leadership also seems strong and steady. There’s a clear tone of high expectations paired with support, and it shows up in the overall culture of the school. Things run smoothly, communication is solid, and there’s a general sense that the school is well-managed.The parent community is another strength. Families are involved and supportive, and there’s a shared value around education that creates a really positive environment for kids.I also appreciate that there’s attention to social-emotional development alongside academics. It’s not just about performance, it’s about helping kids build confidence and navigate relationships. This is a school that delivers both academically and culturally, and we’ve felt very good about our experience.Parent Review2mo ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 635 6th St E.
