My daughter moved to Jay M Robinson her Sophomore year and had a wonderful experience during her time there. Her teachers were always supportive, had great communication and the curriculum was challenging in a positive way. The school offers many extra curricular activities and plenty of courses to help woth career readiness. She recently graduated and was proud to be a Bulldog.

The experience at this school initially seemed positive. However, over time, I began to notice that my child became increasingly fearful of attending school each day. It appeared that my child was being mistreated by a teacher, and unfortunately, no meaningful steps were taken to investigate or address the situation.Because my child is nonverbal, I was unable to directly ask questions to fully understand what was happening. However, their consistent fear and distress when encountering this particular teacher were very concerning and should not have been overlooked. Regrettably, the situation did not seem to be taken seriously and was at times dismissed rather than addressed with the care it deserved.When I brought these concerns to the teacher’s attention, I did not feel heard or supported. While this school may be a good fit for some children, in my experience, concerns were not handled with the level of attention and resolution that is necessary, especially in situations involving vulnerable students. I would encourage other families, particularly those with children who require additional support, to carefully consider all available options when selecting a school.

Not a good school, especially if your kid has a disability. Communication from the admin isn’t great, and they don’t follow proper legal protocols.
