PLEASE DON’T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!! Seems like they treat it as the “forgotten-about school of the district” while manipulating low-income families into sending their children here as it’s the only option if your child needs to ride the bus. There are closer schools but they are not eligible for the bus no matter what if they transfer out. Combine 2 classes into 1 when a teacher is gone. When a child needs more attention & help than the average they pawn them off to a social worker, VP, referral or throw them in the corner instead of getting to the root of an issue and actually getting the help a child needs and act surprised when issues continue. Oh and no guarantee of proper/adequate supervision when they do find a substitute. Principal takes no accountability when serious issues happen on her watch and could care less of how it will affect your child later on. They barely have a music program (just got it back last year), not enough room for even 2 parents per family in gymnasium/lunchroom (yes it is the same tiny space), they won’t hire a second person for the front office so the poor lady was new and very overwhelmed every time I went as she’s trying to figure out how to handle everyone’s problems at once. High-tension low-supported kids trying to bring weapons to school, cussing out bus drivers, and destroying property at bus stops that aren’t theirs. The list goes on- this place is a nightmare, MCCSC and the principal should be ashamed of themselves.
