"There is little access to public transportation, there are no stores in the Shenandoah heights region of West Mahanoy township so it is not an ideal place for someone who does not drive. However, it is a beautiful, friendly and generally safe community."

"They have a parade and block party for ANY holiday they can. Heritage day is my favorite because of the gypsy blood lines and polish food. "

"You can see the whole town of Shenandoah from my front window at my house in Shenandoah Heights. I’m up higher. The cemetery is something to see. All kinds of churches cemeteries to see in one place. Little corner store and our own fire station in the heights. Nice place to live. "
