Erma Nash was a horrible choice for our child with ASD. The Kindergarten teacher would scream at him “Eyes Up! Eyes Up!” We also witnessed her practically dragging him down the hallway by the arm during dismissal and when she saw us at the door, she wouldn’t even make eye contact and just threw him in the office. YOU ALL were the ones who said he didn’t need a helper when we told you he did due to his language delay and sensory regulation issues. I have also witnessed them speaking horribly to other children who clearly were either neurodivergent or suffered from some sort of delay. Thank God I pulled my child out in less than 2 weeks after starting. It took him months to get back very the trauma he experienced at Erma Nash. With recovery and intervention, he is now FLOURISHING from Level 2-3 to Level 1-2, verbal, above grade level, kind and more emotionally intelligent than most peers. If you have a child with moderate ASD and actually want them to progress and not just be “babysat,” please do your research before subjecting your child to potential harm that will ultimately be denied and gaslit.
