The teachers have their pics and Mrs.Sutton is the worsens principal out there. She don't know how to talk to people children and brings their self-esteem down and make the children think that they ain't going to mount to nothing. They have to learn how to talk and treat them students out there in order to get respect back

Sikeston is a smaller community, so the school system plays a large part. My children have not only received a good education at Sikeston Public Schools, they learned how to live in the "real" world with children from all walks of life. The teachers are invested in these kids. They support them in the classroom, on the football field, in church, etc. There is an enormous amount of community support for SPS here in Sikeston. The goal of the high school is to prepare students for whichever path they need to take whether that be college, technical school, the military, or employment. The students who do go to college, are prepared. Each graduating class has several children scoring 30+ on the ACT. Overall, it's a great school system. It is a school system that puts the students first!
