"Access to shops, restaurants, public transportation, not far to travel to larger cities like DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and beaches. Great place to live and raise a family. Public schools are great."
  • Debbief206
"Convenient to grocery stores, Dr offices, restaurant and I-95. The promenade is awesome. If you are a boater this is your place to move "
  • Stamit28
"there is a really nice dog park and most of the owners are very good at watching and cleaning up after their pups. Side note: unless it is a service dog, there is a no dogs policy on promenade (the boardwalk that runs along the shore line from Tydings park to Concord point lighthouse)"
  • Ashley E.
"I’ve lived here for 14 years and the area is nice and quiet, but mostly for adults and young children."
  • Jalenmoore64
"My parents currently live here and they love it and we love to visit as well comfy quiet and relaxing........"
  • Daijahcook
"My neighborhood is beautiful very friendly looking. My neighbors are always upset about minor things. It’s not a very kid friendly neighborhood. Havre de grace as a whole is very welcoming. "
  • Daijahcook
"People live in very close proximity but complain about people walking in their yard or their dogs peeing on their grass or children playing in the street. There is no where else to play. "
  • Ada D.
"I’ve lived in Havre de Grace for 2 years and love it. Very cozy small town yet close to everything if need be. "
  • Sydbey.t.young
"The people who owns dogs are always so sweet but it depends on where you walk because some neighborhoods are very dangerous.."
  • Queennez24
"I have lived in this neighborhood for about 10 years and I love it. Great place to want to raise a family. The schools are great as well. Wouldnt want to live anywhere else."
  • Shrynkmi
"We love this neighborhood. Quiet and friendly. Family oriented. Low crime. Pet friendly. Yard sales and community activities are plentiful. "
  • Rebecca F. .
"No on picks up after their dogs in my neighborhood. Other then that it’s a great neighborhood for your dogs"
  • Shrynkmi
"There are many families in the area. There are great parks and a ton of community events. The water offers many opportunities for activities. "
  • Sonjakrauspatterson
"I have very easy access to 95. It takes me no time to get where I need to go. If I like, I can take back roads but as far as a commute to work I hop right on 95. "
  • Sonjakrauspatterson
"Weekly farmers markets, fests down by the water, fireworks over the bay. It’s just amazing!! Beautiful state park close by also. "
  • Raychel L.
"Lived here my whole life very quiet peaceful nothing crazy has ever went down I leave personals on front porch all the time nothing happens good community "
  • Mikey2digg
"Havre de grace first Fridays ..It's perhaps the best First Friday in Harford County. Enjoy a family friendly, festive celebration on closed downtown streets with bands on every block, cafe seating at restaurants, the kids zone, classic cars and more."
  • Lisa M.
"I was born here moved away and came back six years ago and the folks here seem to be just as firm and I was they were back then"
  • Lisa M.
"Has 3 parks for kids all in walking distance.. my neighborhood is clean .we have first Friday every first Friday of the month starting in April "
  • Ccoeyman
"HdG is a fairly dog friendly city. Tidewater allows dogs outside. Concord Point coffee allows dogs too and they have dog treats on the counter. There is a poop bag station at Hutchins Park. I do wish more dog owners picked up after their dogs. "
  • Jovane C.
"Quiet nothing for kids to do at any point especially if u don’t drive, it’s just a bunch of houses where I live "
  • Carrjovane6
"It’s very trying because I don’t have a license or car so getting around is hard, my form of transportation is a cab, and I hate that."
  • Justin F.
"Great schools a lot of outdoor activities especially in the summer time if you live in town everything is pretty much walking distants Great parks by the marina plus boardwalk with a ice cream and grill spot with awesome food and deserts "
  • Carrjovane6
"It’s a long commute to someone who doesn’t drive and has to catch a cab everywhere with five kids, dragging behind her."
  • Sarah H.
"Havre de Grace has lots of nearby shops and restaurants, so I can easily walk there. But, as far as big shopping places, you definitely need a vehicle to go shopping. "
  • Edwin R.
"Halloween is crowded and very eventful. There is a carnival every year for the 4th of July, music festivals called "First Fridays" in town, and lots of small shops in downtown to visit."
  • Niefrankli
"The schools are great!! Very family oriented! This is a great place to live, work, raise a family, retire and enjoy life. "
  • Christopher B.
"Not as many shootings as there used to be. Seems the area is getting nicer and the cost of rent is going up driving out the folks who made this home"
  • Detre W. T.
"rural community with lovely homes very nice street to live on. rolling hills lots of farm animals. "
  • Carrjovane6
"It’s nothing unique about it there is absolutely nothing to do for the kids, if u do not drive ur out of luck. I love my hone and the area but I will be moving soon to somewhere I can get around "
