The school doesn’t care about their students all they do is listen to the teacher and the teacher does not try to talk to the kids and little mistakes they write the kids up and they always go to the principal to complain and the principal takes the teacher side and never the students. Honestly they need a teacher evaluation.

We have had a great experience at GWC. The teachers are amazing and all of the staff knows all of the kids by name. It’s a small enough school to have individualized attention - something that can’t be said about a lot of schools in Cabarrus. Our kids have excelled academically there, with both exceeding state averages for test scores in all subjects. The AIG services have been exceptional and customized to our student’s specific strengths and challenges. The only potential negative is that it is located in a heavily impoverished neighborhood; that inevitably brings down test scores from disadvantaged kids, but there have also been a few times where my kids have told me about classmates’ stories of negative things with their family members (e.g., someone sharing about their older brother doing drugs, sharing about a family member getting arrested, etc.), though this has been rare and I’m sure there is some degree of that at every school. We’ve never felt that the school itself is unsafe; the staff is very caring, responsive, and communicative to both students and parents.
