The elementary school is staffed by intelligent, caring people who strive to give each student what he/she needs. The fully integrated classrooms create learning environments for all students. Music, Physical Education, Art and Library are still important parts of the curriculum. The Jump Rope Club is a long-established, unique offering after school. There is also an after-school program that offers a place for many children to go until parents pick them up. The concerts and plays have been great successes over the years. Children's well-being and education are central to this school, and parents are able to connect easily with the staff in order to make an even stronger team for each student. All of our children attended this school, and our grandchildren will be doing so soon. The community is lucky to be served by such a great school. We are glad that we moved to Northfield

"Labor Day weekend is a 3 day block party with vendors and street dancing. Our kids love it. If your new to the neighborhood it’s a great way to meet your neighbors. "

"I drive to Montpelier 15 minutes away and catch a bus to Burlington. Not to bad of a drive wish the bus ran more in Northfield. "

"The center of Northfield is great- you can walk to the local restaurants, get basic food and goods at the Dollar General, and get produce at Top’s (Market). Your close to the pharmacy, banks and on Tuesdays is the local farmers market! Pretty easy dog walking- lots of local dogs. "
