So this is a hard one for me, the teacher's i have interacted with (not only my son's teachers) and my son teachers have been AMAZING! But here is why they only got 3 stars. Last year there were tons of events inside and outside of school hours, the clubs were vibrant, full and winning awards and everything seemed to flow well. This year they got a new principal. Something close to 30 of the 34 teachers are leaving because of her. Teachers who have been there for multiple decades feel they have no other option but to abandon their home at this school and move to a new school. They just got their STEAM designation at the end of last year, that will likely go away since the teachers that pushed for that will be gone. Oh and they have only currently filled about half of the positions that are empty. This goes to a larger issue where the superintendent over the school is fully aware that nearly half of the total staff and the majority of the teaching staff will be leaving, and instead of trying to figure out how to get rid of the cause, the new principal, she is defending their "right to work for whoever they want". 30 teachers don't abandon their school of multiple decades because they are just looking for someone new to work for, there is a HUGE issue here that no one wants to address. If Mrs. McLaughlin is still the principal, I would suggest trying to get your child into another school.

wouldn’t recommend this school some of these teachers are great but that’s rare most are horrible.
