About this House

Cozy west Petaluma apartment in a cheery neighborhood. Walkable to several parks, the river, downtown Petaluma, and the Smart train station. Nice wood parquet floors, recently painted kitchen and bathroom, recent washer/dryer upgrade. This unit has a tankless hot water heater, gas furnace with programmable thermostat, and adjustable wall-mounted TV bracket in the living room. There is a sunny front porch with space for a cafe table and chairs or small sofa. An exterior storage unit for the apartment is large enough for bikes and some boxes. The house is well insulated and stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The apartment gets beautiful afternoon and evening sunlight.

The apartment is attached to the landlord's primary residence. There are shared interior walls and some shared outdoor spaces on the 1/4 acre property that features large redwood trees and beautiful gardens. Tenant needs to enjoy living on the property with an active family. There will be kids in the yard outside the apartment windows. A small studio and large deck next to the apartment are sometimes used for youth classes, scout group meetings, adult yoga/fitness classes, and other small gatherings (when there's not a pandemic).

There is no private yard space reserved for the apartment, but tenants are welcome to enjoy some of the family's yard and garden (including a hammock under a giant redwood tree).

Water/Sewer/Garbage are included in the rent. Tenant pays for PG&E and internet/cable. Nonsmokers only. Must have renter's insurance. Credit check and rental references are required. We will consider some pets, including dogs. There may be an additional refundable deposit for pets. The apartment is available on July 15, but there is some flexibility with that date.
