NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is very disappointing to not be able to provide a better review of this elementary, especially since Babylon Village is such an amazing town to live. Extremely underwhelmed at the principal of the school and his inability to lead. Overall I have little trust due with school due to overall lack of transparency and poor communication from the principal to nursing department, and guidance departments. Decisions regarding academics and SEL curriculum seem to be made based on feedback or fear of parents rather than evidence-based practices and educational industry standards. We're not sure if this is due to the principal or administration. We have met parents with children that attended years ago that said they had better experiences.Parents seem cliquey, which is also mentioned in a prior comment. Doesn't seem much has changed with that. At the moment nothing has happened, but do have concerns as my child gets older and moves on to middle school. Not much diversity with students and families either. One town over, West Babylon has much better school grades for elementary through high school and don't pay additional village property tax!The teachers have all been fabulous and have privately agreed with our concerns about lack of leadership and transparency. If it wasn't for the teachers we would have moved already.Parent Review2mo ago3 Reviews - Babylon Junior Senior High School
