"Lived in the neighborhood for 40 years short-term rentals have been the downfall to our community . And to think a realtor would advertise for up to 14 people is outrageous. All for a out-of-state buyer to start renting or a local person who doesn't live in it. Just a good way to ruin a good neighborhood. Now on the other hand, it would be a great house for family of three or four, but it doesn't really matter what we think. "
  • Bluemtnwolf
"People are so friendly and homes are beautiful and just a few minutes from the beach. Love living here! N"
  • Cleon
    "Commute is easy"
  • Trulia User
"An old fashioned neighborhood with many houses having front porches. Children can safely walk to friends' houses. Sidewalks are on all streets. Amenities include a gym, swimming pool, kayaks to use on the lake, pavillion and cook out facilities available for use. A great place for families. "
  • Trulia User
"Margaritaville! Great place for active adults. Neighbors are wonderful, bands Friday and Saturday nights. Many activities. The on site restaurant has great food at good values. It has been more than I expected and I feel blessed to live here. ❤️❤️❤️❤️"
  • Trulia User
"Movie nights, food events, performers brought in to entertain, fund raising events, chili cook off, cookie swap, bingo, food club, golfing, swimming, exercise, and more. "
  • Kelly Ellis
"Community is very tight knit and very safe. A lot of attractions and live events. Beaches are breathtaking and are family friendly "
  • John C.

"Festivals, concerts, fairs, arts & crafts, bike week, circus, food truck events, plays, musicals, church events, etc"
  • John C
"Low traffic and a short commute were some of the reasons I moved here from a large city. Do have more traffic during the vacation periods."
  • Ether Leigh Luckey
"Full time residents more than renters is definitely a plus. Love the fact you can have your pets. Golf carts are a plus as well. I love being near the lagoon to get in our boat for the day."
  • MW
"It’s dog friendly and safe. No real complaints. There’s a handful of outdoor TNR’d cats on every street , but that has not been a problem for us, and in fact, the dogs love to watch and chase them lol "
  • Tiffescue
"Like old school when you grew up as a kid. Very quiet but friendly. I can go on a walk and leave my door unlocked "
  • Hallmanclint
"Easy to walk dogs. Plenty of quiet streets and parks to walk dogs. There is also a dog beach by the pier at Pier Park"
  • Trulia User
"Average. 15-20 minutes to mall on days without traffic. On days with heavy traffic it can take up to any hour to get to the mall"
  • Hallmanclint
"Lots of traffic. There is no real off season here anymore. Population of 18k people but 4.5 million visit and the infrastructure has not been updated to meet the traffic needs. "
  • Hoperecon88
"I e lived here for 20+ years and I love it and the night life and day life and employment I luv it!"
  • Trulia User
"Visiting and love to visit the neighborhoods. I want to move here each visit. I am still looking for our perfect house. "
  • Laurie Swartz
"I do not know. I do not have a dog. I do t see a lot of dogs a few but not a lot. Most condo only allow owners to have pets"
  • Deborah Leigh
"Designated beach for dogs. But it’s not a large beach as far as dog area. Beaches on off season should allow dogs. "
  • Deborah Leigh
"Close to the beach and pier park in summer way to much traffics takes more than 25 minutes to go 1 mile "
  • Trulia User
