Not sure when this site updates the information of the schools, but Flemington Elementary School is one of the highest performing elementary schools in West Virginia. Rated #4 in the state in overall performance and one of only two elementary level schools in WV, receiving Title 1 and Exemplary status in the state. The staff, students and administration strive together to achieve a high standard. Awards were 2014 to 2016 ratings from independent and government entities. The building is old, but with experienced educators,absolutely the best school for my grandkids and would urge any parent within driving distance to get their child into this school.

School makes rules up as they go. Education is awful, they are not using any updated cirriculum. Some of their practices are so outdated. School secretary, the person that should be greeting students happily, is very rude to students and parents. Money is not spent wisely. Communication is awful and all done by an app. Not everyone has access to technology out here, leaving some parents in the dark of what is happening at school. If you are ot from here, you are really left to question everything about the school district here and their practices.

The longer my child goes here the more I see why people are homeschooling their children. I've addressed a 6th grade teacher about how poorly she's communicating with the students as well as parents and refuses to do anything about it. I have addressed this teacher with the principal and she told me to take it up with the teacher. I am not the only one having problems either. The focus in this school is berating children rather than adressing the actual problem and nothing seems to be done about it. Their main focus here is Football and local politics. If your child is attending or will be attending just be aware of these things. The sad part is it's the only middle school in the county.
