"Dogs are always getting lose here. Everyday I see a lose dog and a unresponsive owner. The streets have no lighting except main streets. Many houses haven’t been upgraded since the 1979 tornado. "
  • Egdali Gutierrez
"Nice retirement community. There nothing to do in this town. No night life nothing for young teenagers to do "
  • Sheila.cabell%40gmail.com
"Everyone has dogs! Walking and very well controlled on barking. We are able to greet the dogs when walking! "
  • Fschende
"It’s the country and all neighbors have dogs. There is a neighborhood app in case any pet goes missing and all neighbors help each other find lost or missing pets. Even missing cattle or goats. Very friendly but neighbors respect each others property and privacy. "
  • Ashley S.
"Quick to get just about anywhere necessary. There are grocery stores, restaurants, schools, churches, banks, hospitals, and post offices nearby."
  • Charley F.
"People walk their dogs all the time and all are on leashes. There are numerous stray cats so that could potentially be problematic. "
  • Mbarrett486
"close, around 4 miles to downtown. Stores around the corner. Many restaurants close by. Nice neighbor hood 55+ living here at complex. House's an other Apts in neighboring area with plenty of children. "
  • Jessb1278
"Just recently came to the area. Been lovely so far. Looking for a great home. Love the parks and area. "
  • Jvaldez954
"yes, all family enjoy walking on the street with those dogs and riding bikes motorcycle those car always drives safe "
  • Monica K.
"No events in my neighborhood . We don’t do anything. I wish we did. This area is not kid friendly eighter. "
  • Kevin
"I live downtown so I think they enjoy the space. It’s a nice and safe area that’s mostly kept clean. I see do owners picking up after their dogs all the time"
  • Brittany L. S. .
"The people here are down to earth. Seems like I am always welcomed with a wave or smile when passing someone. "
  • Jennifer M.
"I’ve lived here for several most of my life! Faith village has always been a safe neighborhood for my family and our children!"
  • Dawn T.
"This is a nice, fairly quiet neighborhood with a lot of different age families. We really like it so far."
  • Melissa G.
"its quite an everybody really keeps to themselves an its fairly safe we've only had one incident were they tried to break in to my sons car...but all an all its alright"
  • Beth B.
"Occasionally there is a block party, and a several of the neighbors seems to bounce around to each others houses for all night “cocktails” & partying on the weekends when the weather is nice. If, however, you are a Military Combat Veteran, and fireworks are a bad trigger for you, i would suggest moving closer to the center of town, where it won’t be such a fight to get law enforcement to come out and stop the illegal fireworks inside city limits, as this is more along the outskirts of the inside of city limits. Every year, more than one call, and still i have yet to see a cop show up or take the complaint seriously. We’ve been here 7 years, if that tells you anything. God Bless my spouse, he’s had to be hospitalized a few times because it is such a bad trigger for him. It’s the whole reason we are moving from here. All that being said, its a clean neighborhood, and most people are friendly. "
  • Carijohnson521
"everyone i know drives . But you can get anywhere in 15 minutes. Including down town or the base. Uber is readily available. "
  • Sgtate55
"We have been here 2 years and are friendly with one neighbor. The rest stay to themselves and don’t reach out or respond when we are friendly."
  • Dccampbell
"The neighborhoods are friendly, the folks welcoming. It is a suburb of Wichita Falls, Texas. Within 5 miles there is any type of food one could desire. The children living in Lakeside City attend Holliday Schools which received a #9 from the state!"
  • Dale H.
"There are many families hear that let their kids play outside all the time due to how safe it is. I would suggest to anybody to come live in this neighborhood super safe."
  • Rhollygordon
"It’s a bad neighborhood and the neighbors bam their music loud at all times of night and have no regard for others "
  • Trulia User
"For the most part we all know each other. I have neighbors that will watch my dog and swim in their pools. We also used to have block parties that were fun, but we all keep in touch with a neighborhood app. And everyone gets to contribute money to help pay for our landscaping. "
  • Angel_f16
"I can get almost anywhere in Wichita Falls in 10 minutes or less. The walking /cycling trail is such a great asset!!"
  • Lara
"Lots of people who’s dogs are always “getting out”. You’re expected to deal with it because the owners simply don’t know what else to do and just throw their hands up. You’ll notice all responsible dog owners walking with a large stick because this is such an issue."
  • Dcampbell-1
"We have a number of families with children and teenagers. They are respectful and friendly! Like being in the 60’s! "
  • Misti S.
"My neighborhood is child friendly and people seem to interact well among neighbors... I lived here for a while now."
  • Teresa H.
"My neighborhood is in an ideal location. Close to many eateries, minutes from a supermarket, and close to public schools. "
  • Mckenzy N.
"Speeding cars!! I hate having my daughter with me while we walk the dog, especially in the evening because cats are going so fast on the street! We’re staying by dominos, so a lot of it is the delivery people. "
  • Misti S.
" Garage sales are great and allot of people participate. NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is on there toes as well. "
  • Gayc593
"The well maintained homes and friendly neighbors that watch out for each other makes for a safe atmosphere. "
  • Michael S. A. S. S.
"great neighborhood, best schools, closer to doctors, entrainment, shopping, restaurants, and churches. peaceful, quiet friendly neighbos ."
  • jh
"It is a very quick and fairly easy commute. 5 o’clock traffic is nonexistent. Traffic flow is minimal. "
  • Jared F.
"Southern Hills is a great neighborhood. The homes are all post 1985 south of Southern Elementary, and all our surrounding neighbors have been here an extended period of time. In my immediate proximity there are lots of kids and young established families that look after one another. We have owned this home since 2007, and have stayed here because our 8 year old loves her friends, neighbors, and her school."
  • Katwood1780
"We have an annual block party to get to know all neighbors and new move ins. There is a great local theatre that puts on adult and kid productions. Amazing small town friendly feel but has everything you need. "
  • Sja.1990
"Nice area. Calm. Quiet. Close enough to both fire station & police for the potential unfortunate event."
  • Tameka s.
"It’s quiet and safe. I’ve lived here for the last 10 years without any problems whatsoever. Initially it was convenient since I attended MWSU but even after I graduated I stayed in this area because I love the location."
  • Liz k.
"Safe and quite neighborhood with lots of families and a nearby bike path for walking too. We’ve lived here 13 years. "
  • George S.
"Older neighborhood with a lot of historical era homes...mostly 1920's. Large trees line the streets with large lots for the homes."
