My time that I went here everybody was very rude to me except for a few. Teachers at this school act like they are in high school with how they gossip and the counselors are just cruel. During my time here, the front office ladies would always gossip about the high schoolers while giving you dirty looks. Along with this, they spread rumors. I had a few about myself because of the words of a 40 year old woman. Why are we talking about kids at our grown age? In addition to this, there have been various instances of racial profiling and the staff continue to do nothing about it. One instance being a kid in our grade drawing a hate symbol on the back of someone’s car and still getting to be in leadership roles within our school and facing no repercussions due to him being a white male. While, I had many friends who were from a different background completely get mistreated due to dealing with mental health. In addition to this, please get a new choir teacher. He is extremely rude individual and continued to comment on very personal matters of my own without knowing anything.

I have been employed here for 25 years and it has been the best place to work! I have also grown up here in Fairfield and went to this school. The atmosphere when I was young to now has been a great experience and would recommend moving to Fairfield. Our community is very diverted and easy going. If you like the small town experience this is the place.

Pence Elementary is a Leader in Me school where teachers genuinely care about students and their growth. The administration works diligently to support teachers and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment. They keep families informed with clear and up-to-date communication while focusing on strong academic foundations.

My child loves coming over to Washington to Play and is excited to attend school at this building.
