4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school out of the 6 years that I attended I would not recommend this school for any new students that are looking to transfer I personally did not like the staff all of our senior activities got canceled because of the new 2026 principle Dr. Sanchez. Half the teacher would not allow you to do anything but work. They close the restrooms during lunch and Nutrition even through class time I had to go and had to tell security that only go around and tell people to go to class in their golf cart and nothing else they would priorities taking care and bunkering down the restrooms than most entrenches I had left the door open and left school during lunch came back and walked inside through that same door and not once did they go up and close it because they would be much more focused on making sure the restrooms were empty all the time. They would not allow you to strictly go into the girls restrooms until one of the others would go out. I would give this school A 0/10 but I could not The education system is really bad in this place too, 0/10 on everything.Other Review1mo ago4 Reviews - Garey High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration system at Garey High School has proven to be inadequate, as evidenced by the persistent occurrence of fights on campus. Despite inquiries into the security measures in place, responses consistently revolve around the promise of increased security during lunch and external programs. However, these efforts have fallen short of effectively addressing the ongoing safety concerns. It is evident that there is a tendency for the administration to overlook issues, potentially masking deficiencies in their management.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Madison Elementary School

"It’s nice to have events close by at the Fairplex, and there are a lot of great public/community resources available throughout Pomona— specifically public health. Our neighborhood, specifically, does not do any organized events, and I generally spend my time outside of Pomona (grocery shopping/errands in La Verne, San Dimas, or Glendora, and work in Orange County) because many parts of Pomona are NOT safe at all and I don’t feel comfortable taking my family anywhere in town."

"I live in this Historic District for 15 yrs. Besides the old homes, there are lots of old massive trees that create lots of shade for the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful peaceful area to live in. "

"I don’t think Pomona is safe. I don’t feel Comfortable taking a walk. There are homeless encampments in many locations. I regularly call to report graffiti. The roads aren’t great; lots of potholes. Doesn’t seem to be important for city entities to take care of. Pomona isn’t well-maintained. "

"Pomona has ugly parts in the two main blvds and some houses. Nonetheless, it has a few really nice residential areas and the down town part is thriving. It makes me somewhat proud of living in a city with a lot of history and culture."
