China Grove Elementary has a long ways to go to reach a satisfactory level of quality education. This school has several teachers who have left to teach at other schools due to the lack of support from their administrators.Many students are often passed along despite not passing state test which I truly feel is due to the severe overcrowding and poor curriculum. My kids weekends pulled from this school to attend a school in a neighboring city because you can’t put a price on education. There’s a lack of cultural diversity awareness, students complete more course work on tablets compared to worksheets which didn’t seem like an issue initially until my 5th grader couldn’t write in complete sentences because he was so used to selecting A,B,C,D options on a tablet. The area is growing and I STRONGLY suggest looking at other schools in the surrounding areas before sending your kids here. My 3rd grader had a classroom of 25+ to 1 teacher and pretty much the entire class of students failed their EOGs that’s way too many kids trying to learn in one classroom. Also there’s been a few racial comments made towards my kids by other students that were discussed with the principal. If you must send your kids here be mindful of everything.

There's fights almost every week and terrible administration you get iss and oss for the small things

I went to South and my 3 sisters also went and it is truly a great school. They put in a ton of effort to make sure all students are accommodated in the classroom. I graduated in 2019 and have some teacher friends who are great at their jobs. The teachers there really put in effort to build meaningful relationships with their students.
