NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is awful, the admin staff think they own the place and you need to literally kiss there butts for them to be nice to you or for them to take care of you child. Other than the front office staff they teachers are fantasticParent Review6y ago5 Reviews - Bauerwood School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of two current students I can say with no reservation I love this school. The teachers are engaged and eager to help students succeed. My youngest child had some outburst issues in kindergarten and the school bent over backwards to work with him. If it weren't for their hard work, love, and dedication my little one could have been written off and consigned to a special needs program. Instead he is doing great this year and loves school. My oldest is in the districts accelerated program, again due in no small part to the excellent education, support, and LOVE of the staff of Bauerwood. They also engage with the parents in multiple ways. I recently attended a meeting for fathers called Watchdogs... there were well over 100 dads in attendance. Engaged staff engaging students and parents is an absolute win for everybody!Parent Review13y ago5 Reviews - Bursley School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school as a child, and now I have 2 children who attend here as well. I have one child who is advanced in her development, and one who is behind. I love that both of my children's needs are met individually. It has been a rough year with my youngest who is slightly behind, but Bursley staff has had my back 100% with him. They have worked with him, and been patient with him. They have been up front with me on his progress. The staff at Bursley Elementary is incredible. I don't know how to express the amount of gratitude I feel for them.Other Review11y ago1 Reviews - Sandy Hill School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe absolutely adore Rosewood. We used school of choice to switch from Sandy Hill to Rosewood Elementary and it has been a night and day difference for my children. They are loved, supported and valued as a *whole* person which is a rare and wonderful combination in a public school. Rosewood is more diverse than other Jenison elementary schools and they *actually* live out the Wildcat Way of respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity, safety and trust. The leadership through Principal Luke VerBeek is inspiring. He truly cares about his students and staff and shows it actively by continually putting others first. It’s because of this servant heart that Rosewood is the best public school in the district of Michigan! Thank you to staff, teachers and administration. It really is great to be a Wildcat!Parent Review2mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 6026 8th Ave SW.

"Everyone tends to keep to themselves but it is a nice safe place to live. Schools promote as being good but our kids did not do real well and were picked on and the school did nothing"

"Nothing makes this neighborhood unique when compared with every other ex-middle-class industrial town across the states. There's a lot of room for growth but nothing to attract people with money."

"They’re not just friendly neighbors - they’re neighbors who are our friends. They babysit or play with (depending on age) our kids, enjoy dinner on our deck, we share campfires and our kids go to school together. They watch our house while we’re gone, bring meals when in need and gifts in celebration. We go to church here. Grandville is home. "
