Lake Winter is a flowage apx. 675 acres in size controlled by a dam on the southern end of the lake...It is apx. 3 miles long and 1 mile wide at it's widest point..The fishing is great, especially for musky, walleye, northern pike, pan fish and bass.. OUR RENTAL RATES: We rent our island by the week or by the night (with a (3) night min. stay) normally from May 1st through Oct. 31st... We sleep up to 12 in beds. Our "Off Peak" Seasons runs from May 1st up to Mem. Day week-end and then again from after Labor Day thru end of October.. During our "off peak" seasons our nightly rate is $350.00 for up to six people and the weekly rate is $2,200.00.. Our pontoon boat daily rate is $100.00...Weekly rate is $700.00 The nightly chg. for additional people is $20 per night per person... Our "Peak Season" begins Mem. Day week-end and runs thru Labor Day week-end whereas the nightly rate for up to six people is $375.00 and the weekly rate is $2,500.00...The nightly chg. for additional people remains at $20 per person per night... A $500.00 deposit is required to hold your reservation and 5.5% sales tax is applied... The daily pontoon rate is $150.00......Weekly rate is $700.00 We are dog friendly with a $10.00 per day pet fee per dog.. All rental reservations will be guaranteed and carry on with the new owner...He/she will honor all current rental bookings.. Nearby is the Chequamagon National Forest containing apx. 865,000 acres and the Tuscobia Trail for hiking, snowmobiling or 4-wheeling. Winter, Wi is located on Hwy. 70 in Sawyer County, Wisconsin apx. 1/2 hour south of Hayward, Wi and about 1 hour west of Minocqua, Wi.....The Village of Winter, Wi is about a 15 min. drive from our island and has a K-12 school, a bank, post office, grocery/hardware store, 4 churches and several small shops and businesses..
