7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCurrent principal and vice principal are completely un-equipped to handle their job. They seem to have no clue how to lead. Two suicides in the last few months of the previous school year...both caused by bullying. This happened in a school with only 350 students. Both have been guilty of bullying, and did nothing to stop student bullying after being told about it on several occasions. Sports are their only interest. Drop-out rate is terrible, GPAs are pathetic, math and english proficiency-40%. The school board also needs shaking up. They have ignored complaints regarding current administration, even with lawsuits being filed. Something the taxpayers will have to cover. Really sad. This is a low income area, and the children are not being prepared for the future. They just continue with previous generation behavior--teenage pregnancies, drug/alcohol abuse. unemployment, one parent households...Parent Review8y ago - Copper Basin Elementary School
