This school willingly lets you go through sexual assault and severe bullying. I am a new student to the district (9th grade now) and around this time last year, I was groped and coerced for about a week straight. Once I told the principal and the dean, they didn’t seem to care, and only called me and the boys parents. Really? And for the bullying, there are multiple kids who can AND WILL bully others to self harm. This school doesn’t really care, only about one of the teachers in the HIGHSCHOOL does.

While the community may be helpful, and parent involvement is huge, the school falls short when it comes to test scores and discipline. The few students there are vary so much. Some students are very intelligent and want to move on from something while others really struggle, creating a very disconnected classroom atmosphere. If a parent isn't as involved in the school as others, parent-teacher communication tends to never really happen. It definitely needs to up the ante in teaching curriculum. If a student transferred out of this school to another one, they'd be considered remedial. They don't learn basic things and it saddens me.

This school graduates a high majority our students whom can read or write at a 7-8 grade level. They push students that are non traditional learners into (special) classes that teach GED course.
