    "Valle Crucis park is great for the family! There are great play areas for kids, walking paths, and fishing right on the Watauga River. There are great Mast General Store is an awesome place to visit with the family. There is a great beaf jerky shop nearby as well in Valle Crucis. There are 3 ski resorts within striking distance, plus lots of hiking. "

Housing is same cost as California, but no jobs."

It is a huge issue. Beautiful views & weather despite Mack trucks, Loggers, and constant roadwork & traffic.
