In my experience as a high school teacher, I have found Southern Door to be an excellent learning environment that emphasizes rigorous curriculum, collaboration, and positivity. The school does a stellar job of supporting new teachers - from the administration’s encouragement and backing to the guidance of mentor teachers who provide valuable insights.Southern Door’s community involvement is also outstanding. This is evident at the many sporting events, award-winning musical productions, and impressive choir and band concerts. The high school offers a wide variety of AP classes for college-bound students, and the number of offerings continues to grow.In addition, the youth apprenticeship program has built strong partnerships with local businesses and maintains high enrollment among students who are eager to enter the workforce directly after high school.Overall, Southern Door is a fantastic place of learning, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering enrolling their child.
