NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Hillcrest for a year - My kid loved teachers ; sweet and easy to communicate, but the real problems are all from the principle. The Principle still lives in 20 Century - what she says is the rule, no one can disagree or can have opinion about what she has said, she makes this school as a prison , its horrible since Hillcrest students are from K to 2 which is young and have so many questions and imagination. The World has been changing, but not Hillcrest principal.Parent Review7y ago8 Reviews - I.A. Lewis School

"The lack of dog parks. There aren’t many places to take your dog for excessive or play time. Also walking dogs in the sidewalk is also sketchy. Some of the sidewalks end at random points. "

"Good neighborhood, I’ve been in Ruston for about two and a half years. It’s a lot of college kids but parties aren’t rampant like you would think, they mostly happen in fraternity houses. Where I live is quiet and nice, with a lot of new construction. Roads are pretty bad but other than that it’s a nice place to live."
