The teacher-to-student ratio at this school is far too low, making it difficult for students to receive the individual attention and support they need. There are simply too many students for the number of teachers available, which causes important issues to be overlooked. My daughter has been marked absent multiple times despite being present, and these attendance errors have created unnecessary stress and frustration. Accurate attendance records are a basic responsibility of any school, and repeated mistakes can negatively affect a student’s academic record.In addition, my daughter struggled in math and ultimately failed the course, yet she was never offered tutoring, academic intervention services, after-school support, or summer school opportunities that could have helped her improve. Students who are falling behind should be identified early and provided with resources before reaching the point of failure. Instead, it felt as though she was left to struggle without meaningful support.The school also appears to have limited resources, which affects the availability of extracurricular activities. Extracurricular programs are an important part of a student’s educational experience because they help develop leadership skills, confidence, teamwork, and school engagement. Unfortunately, students have very few opportunities to explore their interests outside of the classroom.Another major concern is the professionalism of the main office staff. In my experience, parents are often treated with little respect or consideration. There seems to be very little effort made to build positive relationships with families or address concerns in a helpful manner. Communication between schools and parents is essential, yet that communication is lacking.It is also extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone. I have called numerous times and tried multiple extensions, only to have my calls go unanswered. Messages are rarely returned, making it frustrating for parents who are simply trying to stay informed and involved in their child’s education.Overall, I believe the school needs significant improvement in academic support, attendance management, parent communication, and student opportunities. Students and families deserve a school environment where they feel supported, respected, and valued, and unfortunately that has not been my experience.

This school is not as terrible as people are saying. The school needs full support from students and parents to be successful. I’ve met teachers counselors principal vice principals staff secretaries and they need support too. It takes a village to raise a child. Everyone has to do their part. Period!

i went here, just graduated and it honest sucked. I mean the teachers were great but you dont learn much, the policies are pretty dumb and theres fights everyday. no one does anything for bullying. we also had a school shooting threat.

This school is absolutely awful. It starts with the unprofessional leaders the principle and the assistant principle. They do not return phone calls or emails. In order to get a response from them regarding bullying, which they have a 0 tolerance for bullying, I had to call several times send several emails then go up to the school to finally get a response. When you ask them a question their response is always they do not know or they have a procedure in place but they do not know why they have not followed their own procedure. When I questioned the assistant principle about an incident she began to lie and change her story several times as I began to ask more questions. 'The assistants in the front office are extremely rude and unpleasant to speak to and their unprofessional behavior is allowed by their leaders. My child's teacher was extremely unprofessional as well. She had multiple facial piercings and was allowed to teach with these, and the school is more concerned with the children not wearing a shirt with a hood. She never sent home any classwork or test and when asked she took weeks to provide the information to me to have access. She called me at 9:30pm once I reached out to her to go over my child's progress and proceeded to discuss my child's clothing and physical appearance. The curriculum is also behind and not the proper grade level teaching. This school was great when my younger sister attended but it has truly gone downhill.
