My child attended Parsons Elementary and our experience was awful. He is a bright, curious student but the school atmosphere allowed repeated negative peer influence and encouraged mischief rather than redirecting it productively. I observed persistent teacher bias. The staff frequently contacted me with complaints about minor issues, and those conversations felt one-sided and punitive rather than collaborative. After transferring him to a different school, his academic performance and participation in activities dramatically improved, which tells me the environment at Parsons was negatively affecting him. The building’s exterior and general upkeep look depressing, and I worry about whether local property tax dollars are being invested where they’ll most benefit students and families. I hope the district reviews classroom culture, staff training on impartial behavior management, and building maintenance so other families don’t have the same experience.

"Three great dog parks nearby; other green spaces are dog friendly. The loop around Farrington is our dog’s favorite spot and well maintained on the one side, and the rough trails on the other are still very accessible and easy to walk- just watch footing after rain. "
