3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at this school was mostly negative. A lot of the teachers seemed burnt out and uninterested in teaching, which made learning harder. Most students clearly hated being there, and the overall atmosphere felt very unmotivating. The staff, especially in the mornings and in the front office, were often rude and unapproachable. It also takes an unreasonable amount of time just to get into the school, which causes many students to be late or miss their first or even second period. I rarely had teachers who actually taught the material, instead, many would just hand out packets and tell us to figure it out on our own. On top of that, the principal frequently interrupts classes with announcements that disrupt learning, usually just to express disappointment or make unnecessary comments or jokes. There are a lot of issues overall, but most of them come from problems within the district.Other Review4mo ago19 Reviews - Audie Murphy Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is currently in 6th grade, and his math and language arts grades started to drop. His teachers reached out to me right away and kindly explained what we could do to help. They were also very supportive and even offered to work with him after school on the areas he needs. Thanks to their encouragement and care, my son—who has always disliked studying—has started saying he wants to study on his own. This is the first time he has ever shown that kind of motivation, and I truly believe it is because of the teachers’ support.I’m very grateful for the teachers at this school and the way they genuinely look out for their students.Parent Review5mo ago6 Reviews - Oveta Culp Hobby Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was SA’d at school, in first grade, by another student. He told the teacher and trusted she would keep him safe. She didn’t. Once I caught wind of this, my son had to tell me because the teacher didn’t. When confronted, she stated she “should’ve told me” and that she was sorry. When I brought it up to admin, they swept it under the rug. It took 6 weeks for them to actually take action, but not until after I made a stink about the situation on our neighborhood Facebook page. Only then did an AP reach out to me about actually doing something to keep my son safe, but she was reluctant to do so stating “its been over two months, we don’t really understand why this is still bothering him”. But even before then my son came home telling me that his teacher told him she “forgot” about the incident. Once all was said and done, after the teacher had been asked to take administrative leave, she was “cleared” to go back to work and still be back in the classroom. But because of her “forgetfulness”, my son has experienced life changing trauma. AND, after she “separated” my son from the other student, she allowed the other student to claim more victims by being careless. If I could give this school zero stars I would. If this school is an option for you, I HIGHLY recommend finding somewhere else for your child(ren). Any and all issues will be swept under the rug whether right away or after the fire starts to die. From the principal down to the teachers, they’re all careless.Parent Review3mo ago21 Reviews - Check out schools near 6 Coleton Dr.

"Small town neighborhood with cute charm its definitely growing. Some people are small minded, but for the most part people here are pretty nice. Old school charm, but slowly growing into a more larger community access. "
